WWE Superstar Sheamus, a.k.a. the Celtic Warrior, is always a game to check another wrestler's training. He tried fellow countryman Jordan Devlin, cardio burners with Alexa Bliss and Olympic lifts with John Cena. But wrestlers don't always drive intensity. Sheamus chose to step back for a yoga session with Mickie James, a former WWE champion and current country singer. And like the majority of muscle-bound men, he's definitely out of his comfort zone.
"Most of us athletes do not fully respect [yoga] and probably secretly fear it," he says in the description of the video. "But there is a reason why it has been around for over 5,000 years. It works." The WWE superstar is right – boys should pay more respect to yoga. Just watch how he deals with a simple session.
James asks Sheamus if he has ever done yoga and his answer is classic.
"No. No. I'm the worst," he replies. "I feel like Frankenstein half the time."
James says she plans to go through a yoga flow session with him so they don't focus on keeping movements going for long periods of time. Rather, they will go through many poses and work on flexibility, mobility and balance.
"Oh my god, I'm so inflexible," Sheamus admits on the first move.
He masters downward dog and cobra with the instruction of James.
"You should do one yoga class a week," advises James. "You have to skip a day with a heavy lift."
And Sheamus agrees, even though he says that he will need the right clothes. Sounds like he has to invest in some leggings.
"It is difficult if you are not naturally flexible, but if you do a little bit every day, you will be much more flexible and much stronger … you will make enormous profits." Fitness and wellbeing, "he says.
