YouTuber Will Tennyson is used to strict diets. The fitness fan recently asked to eat intuitively for seven days.
Before you study the video, it is important to know that intuitive eating is more than eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are full. There are 10 principles that guide intuitive eating, including rejecting the nutritional mentality and fulfilling your hunger. The concept is not considered a diet, so trying to be an intuitive eater for a week doesn't follow the principles.
Tennyson also recommends tracking calories before eating intuitively. He believes that this will help you mentally keep track of the amount you eat in a day without completing a food journal. However, this practice does not correspond to the principles of intuitive eating. Tennyson also uses certain ingredients to reduce calories, which in turn doesn't strictly follow the concept of intuitive eating. However, he does his best to stick to the approach to his experiment.
For example, Tennyson does not weigh his cheese or toppings during a DIY pizza night.
"I'll just put as much cheese on it as I want," he says.
Tennyson also eats the same meals as his family, which doesn't happen when he counts calories.
"I usually do my own thing," he says, noting that it is too difficult to track macros of meals that his family cooks.
He also enjoys ice cream cake, orders a burger and chips in a local restaurant and eats snacks more often.
"So socially intuitive food is great," says Tennyson.
Tennyson did not gain weight even though he had been eating freely for a week ̵
"Anti-diet does not mean anti-health," he says.
