Immediately after YouTuber Will Tennyson climbed Mount Everest at home, he decided to eat whatever he wanted for a day to support local businesses in his hometown.
First he steps on the scales to see what he weighs before the festival. After weighing 174.8 pounds, Tennyson picks up a dozen donuts from one of his favorite bakeries. He eats about half of the box before deciding that it's time to turn the rest into "halfsies". Tennyson stops before he ends the dozen – he uses about eight donuts – to try the moderation.
"Stopping when you're full is still a foreign word to me. I'm more of a stop when you feel sick," he says.
Tennyson estimates that he has consumed approximately 2,960 calories from donuts, but says that this is only a guess.
For lunch, he takes a huge slice of pizza that is really the size of a large cake. Tennyson finishes almost all of the pizza, which he estimates to be around 3,400 calories, and then walks outside. He wants to take 20,000 steps on "fraudulent" days.
Tennyson eats a Cuban sandwich and fries for his last meal, which brings him to 7,41
The next day, Tennyson weighs 183.4 pounds – almost nine pounds more. However, he is not worried about his weight goals since he has never put on nine pounds of fat overnight. The increase in the scale can be attributed to the water retention of the carbohydrates and sodium he consumed.
"It's in the past. You can't change the past. Don't worry about it," he says.
