YouTuber Laurie Shaw, who was stuck at home and couldn't go to the gym, decided that there was no better time to download actor Chris Hemsworth's fitness app Centr and train like the god of thunder himself.

Shaw's latest videos follow his The result of a six-week program focusing on body weight exercises that do not require any equipment other than a pair of dumbbells. During the same period, he also takes a plant-based diet, following the recipes in the app and then creating his own versions to save time. He does his best to get 8 hours of sleep every night.

Shaw is quite exhausted after completing the first training session, but it really hits him on Day 2. "I immediately felt sore from the day before," he says. "It's not a lot of weight and it doesn't take long, but 30 minutes of high-intensity interval training, which I think kind of makes you pretty puffy."

He convinces his brothers who join him for some of his workouts and find that society really makes a difference during training: "It's crazy how much more motivated you can feel when you train with someone else . "

The workouts are no less physically demanding, but Shaw finds that his body adapts to the intensity of some exercises and he is able to make progress. "Towards the end of the second week, I started adding more repetitions to each set wherever I could," he says. "Oddly, I felt like some exercises that I had trouble repeating so many times during that time while having a lot of time left over on other exercises. So I started adjusting each set to what was best for me would work."

"I honestly haven't felt fit for so long," he says when he goes into the sixth and last week. "I had so much energy and I feel like I have smashed these workouts without feeling sore from the previous day … It is so interesting to me that you only need 25, 30 minutes of high intensity interval training to really exercising sucks life out of your body and just exhaust you. I feel like I can hold out longer, get harder and it feels really good. "

At the end of the 6 weeks, Shaw looks a bit slimmer with more visibly toned abs. "Feel leaner, I feel fitter," he says. "I know it's not a big difference, but on the other hand, it's only 6 weeks."
