This is a real buried treasure. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper – also known as a dermatologist and TLC moderator Dr. Sandra Lee – a stubborn cyst hidden under a patient's skin. The growth is buried so that Dr. Lee needs to use a punch-like tool to get there.
In the clip, Dr. Lee tightly squeezes the cyst with her fingers and pushes out the chunky white contents of the cyst. However, getting out of the growth bag proves to be an even greater challenge. Dr. Lee needs to use a surgical punch to cut out a circular piece of skin so that it can easily get into the deeply embedded sack.
"I know that it is important to actually remove the entire sack, because if not, then there is a higher chance of coming back immediately," says Dr. Lee the patient. Dr. Lee is able to punch the sack with professional precision, which makes this stubborn cyst an all-rounder.
The cyst is probably an epidermoid cyst that contains an accumulation of moist, dead skin cells and keratin. This type of cyst can appear on the face, neck, and body.
