Your latest ear cyst has a new reference that is just right. In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper – also known as a dermatologist and TLC moderator Dr. Sandra Lee – freeing the contents of a cyst from a patient, and in her opinion it looks like a "stalagmite".
If It's been a minute since you attended middle school. A stalagmite is an ascending hill that is usually found in a cave. Its counterpart is a downward-facing rock collection called stalactite. Regardless of whether the contents of this cyst are hanging or out of the ear of Dr. Looking at Lee's patient growing up, this is still an exact analogy.
In the video, Dr. Lee first made a tiny incision just above the growth before starting to press in with her fingers. A thick mass of white fill soon appears, and the lumpy contents look just like the cave formation. But it is much easier to remove than stones. Dr. Lee pulls it out of her patient right before the video ends.
