Sometimes you just get the urge to hit the bank. At least, this seems to be the case for a 75-year-old security guard at the Kennesaw State University gym, who put 225 pounds on the bench for retakes, throwing in a group of men by a quarter of his age.
Instagram user Jalil Kuku (@jalilkuku) recorded the session that you can watch here:
View Post on Instagram75 years old !!! this grown manpower is still something !!!! We were in the middle of cable flights and the guard just walked up to us and looked around for about 5-10 minutes. Then he sat down on the bench opposite me and looked at us, so we thought we were in trouble. Then he just lay down on the bench and repeated 135 6-7 times. He got up and saw that we were in awe and said, "I'm just getting up. Can not be your whole life, add another 45. "And then I started recording. s / o to @mylesprice_ for coming to discover him 😂😂 What an inspiration !!! // licensed by worldstar
According to Kuku, the nameless man patrolled the gym before sitting down and sitting on the bench for six or seven repetitions. Then he said, "I'm just getting up, can not annoy all your life, add another 45," the post header says. At this point, Kuku started recording.
The guard looked a bit unsure under the new weight, and another lifter came in to discover it. But after a quick hiring, he completed 225 five repetitions and surprised his spotter and everyone else in the gym. The other men in the video are impressed, and so are we.
The security guard's apparent affinity to bench press only shows that you are never too old to pump iron. But please, no matter how old you are, let someone discover you before you do it.No
