Update your home workout with the F45 Challenge app

At this stage of the COVID-19 suspension, your home workouts may be stale. The internet may be full of great free training ideas at the moment, but finding something new every time can be a chore, and you may long for the days when you could outsource all the planning to a preferred gym or studio. [19659002] If so, good news! The worldwide functional training franchise F45 is expanding its F45 Challenge app with two new workouts for body weight every day and makes access free of charge until June 1st. The F in F45 stands for functional, with all classes based on functional exercises that train a variety of muscles and joints. And the 45 stands for 45 because the classes are 45 minutes long.

The Challenge app has been around for some time and includes a nutrition planner and the ability to track your exercise, meals, water intake, and sleep, the size of your muscles, but we're here for the workouts, so we'll focus on they. The first option will be one of the brand's gravity classes, a HIIT training that promises to “develop aerobic conditioning, plyometric, and agility skills” (expect a lot of jumping). The second is Calypso Kings, which consists of stretches, a good activity if you feel worse a day or two after a gravity workout.

As of June 1

st, the app will also include on-demand videos from the studios, but the most popular HIIT courses, including Romans, Hollywood and Athletica, cost £ 30 per month. It's a shame that users won't be able to try out the various on-demand courses in May, but until then, you can do two bodyweight sessions at home for free every day.

Although the daily workouts in the app are currently based on body weight. Devices are normally used in the F45 classes, regardless of whether they are barbells or accessories such as agility ladders, jump ropes or resistance bands. F45 is offering two different Live Inclusive Interval Training (LIIT) kits, which can be ordered from the Australian F45 website from the end of May, to make it easier for users at home to get what they need for training in the app.

The standard LIIT kit costs USD 96 (AUD, approx. GBP 49.38) and contains agility cones, sliders, an agility ladder, a jump rope and a series of resistance bands. The LIIT Kit Pro costs $ 215 and contains 8 kg of kettlebells, 4 kg of dumbbells and an 8 kg ball. Shipping to the UK is an additional $ 14.50 (approx. 7.61 GBP) ).

As soon as the fully paid version goes online, we will give the F45 Challenge app a whirlpool. So check back in June to see what we're thinking of. Until then, enjoy the free workouts!
