Tip: Bodybuilder Cheesecake – The recipe

Cheesecake is not the most body-friendly food, but we can fix it. No, this recipe is not really low in carbohydrates or low in fat, but it's a huge improvement over the traditional version. Think of it as a cleansing, uplifting pleasure.

With a base of oats and a filling sweetened with Metabolic Drive® protein, what else do you want? That's how it's done.

Ingredients

For the base

  • 1 cup of oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons of natural honey
  • 2 tablespoons of soft grass-fed butter
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of natural crunchy peanut butter
  • 1
    /2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • A few pinches of salt

For filling

  • 3 scoops of vanilla Metabolic Drive® protein
  • 2 whole eggs and 1 egg yolk
  • 21 oz cream cheese
  • 19659006] 5 oz non-fat sour cream

Topping [19659005] 1 cup of raspberries or strawberries
  • Calorie-free strawberry syrup or no added sugar strawberry jelly
  • Extra peanut butter, if desired
  • Directions [19659021] Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Lay out a 9-inch springform pan (see photo) with baking paper or foil.
  • Pan

  • In another pan, melt over low heat butter, peanut butter and honey.
  • In a bowl mix the warm syrup with the oats cinnamon and salt. Mix well.
  • Add the oat mixture to the springform pan and press firmly to the edge.
  • Place in freezer to quickly set when filling, or refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Put all ingredients for the filling in a food processor, a good blender, or just use a hand blender until they are smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the filling mixture into the now specified crumb base. Insert half of the raspberries or strawberries. Give something about it.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes. This cheesecake cooks a bit darker than a conventional version. Therefore, pay attention to a golden top with a little wobbly effect.
  • Let it cool completely before adding the jelly and some berries. Add a dash of peanut butter if you want. Refrigerate for at least a few hours to allow it to fully harden before you enjoy it.
