It is time to recognize that competitors and fitness models are going to EXTREME to achieve a particular look, often without regard to their health. , Body contests are NOT health contests. , I see young girls and women who are new to fitness and are looking for extreme bodies for their "target body" and that's NOT OK. Like I used to look at Thinspo photos, which were incredibly unrealistic for my body type. People who have not yet worked with competitors / fitness models do not know that the methods used to achieve that look are not healthy food, but for the rest of us it is extreme. Low calories, high training volume, a lot of heart … NOT to care for and NO realistic / healthy target for 99.9% of people. , Not to mention when you see a rival who does not bend, no pump, nothing (left photo, I was a week outside Team U, a national NPC show). THEY LOOK AT UNWELL. I was so skinny and looking at these photos is difficult now. Competitors near shows always joke that they can not warm (wtf) and that "you know you're ready when people start asking if you're sick" … WTF ?! , I'm not really sorry when it gets so hard, but I'm just tired of glorifying those extreme bodies. YES, they are hard work and sacrifices, but at what price? Your Health? Your relationships? Your brain function? Your body image? , (Note: some competitors have little or no consequences, that is * possible *), but there are more and more problems with long-term problems. * Even if * they did everything "right", had a good coach and so on). Choose your "fitness inspiration" carefully, ladies.
