Calories get the attention of the slimming culture: We're programmed to check the nutritional label of each food to determine its calorie content. However, the truth is that counting calories may not be the case. Key to losing weight and fitness influencer Lucy Mains proves just that.
In two side-by-side photos of herself on Instagram, Mains shared how they are the healthiest and most became the strongest woman she ever was … of no less than 3000 calories a day. "Starting from the photo on the left, barely eating something a day and not being mentally at the peak [to] The photo on the right, currently best, mentally, and 3000 calories a day," she wrote next the pictures.
"I have to say that makes me proud of myself, I worked hard to get where I am now, and I'm still working hard to get where I want to be," he continued she continued.
Mains admits she did not always have a healthy relationship with food. There was a time when she said she barely consumed 1,000 calories a day to look "skinny" and "lean." She also focused on cardio training and a bit of bodyweight training. But now she has become much healthier eating and lifting five or six times a week because she prefers to do that (PS: Not that we have to tell you that, but lifting weights does not make you any less feminine.) [I’ve been] Day as it comes, enjoy the process and keep educating me no matter how many bad days I'm traveling, "she wrote. My relationship with food has improved so much over the years and I am so happy! We have to realize that food is our friend and our fuel. Can not drive a car without gas correctly? Imagine we are the car and the fuel is our food! "
The Mains analogy is just right. It's important to know that a food's caloric intake does not necessarily mean it's unhealthy. An example.)" While calories are definitely important, they're not the only essential element for choosing foods, "said Natalie Rizzo, RD, previously in The main reason you need to stop counting calories.
Calorie junk foods with more nutritious whole foods can help you lose weight That in some cases, when you run a marathon or carry a child, calories are absolutely important, but even in these circumstances, the nutrients in your food are just as important as the calories. "
Mains Ended her post by reminding people of the importance of setting goals and sticking to them, no matter how long this d "Wherever you are on your fitness journey, whether it's a month or a year, you'll be where you want to go," she wrote. "Just be consistent and stick to it, we are too easy to handle if it gets difficult or we do not get what we want right away, you'll get there, good things take time and you always believe in yourself."
