The mother of two children recently showed on Instagram a video of herself skipping rope skipping and all the benefits of using the age-old exercise machine explained in detail. "It improves coordination, reduces foot and ankle injuries, burns high calories, improves bone density, improves cardiovascular health, improves breathing efficiency, makes you smarter and improves your ability to stay calm," she wrote.
This is not the first time that Barbarian has proven that you do not need any training equipment to smash your fitness goals. She's already told us how much she's been trying to get active after losing her leg to cancer when she was only 15 years old – and it was not until she was 36 that she entered a gym and started her fitness trip just by walking.
"I started by visiting our community gym," she told us at the time. "What started with a treadmill walking on the treadmill for 10 minutes (usually with a lot of gasps and puffs) quickly turned into an hour of brisk walking and intermittent jogging, taught me basic circuit training and began attending courses for CrossFit and Aerial Yoga When I did not, I swam, made Jiu-Jitsu – determined to do whatever it took to feel strong again. Today Barbarian motivates people around the world by videos this from their jumping rope without their prosthesis. "You can do whatever you want, if you remember," she says. "If you stumble, get back up, and get ahead, and most importantly, enjoy what you have and feel empowered because you never know what life will throw in your path."
