This & # 39; euphoria & # 39; fan theory suggests that Rue is dead

Spoiler before the first four episodes of Euphoria . If you have not seen them yet, you should consider this an official warning to leave this post.

After the (highly controversial) completion of Game of Thrones it seemed as if no other show could fill the gap in fan theory. Fortunately, Euphoria does its best and there is a new theory that Zendaya's character Rue may have been dead all the time. Yes, seriously.

The theory started on Twitter and there is actually a lot of evidence to back it up. Basically, people think she actually died during this overdose in the first episode, and her character told this whole series from the grave.

That's why people think this is possible. First, in the series premiere, people at Rue's school said, "I thought you died," when she returned for the first day of school. Could have been an important clue. Second, it was pointed out that she seems to be omniscient. She knows exactly how each character feels all the time. For example, you would not know Nate's innermost thoughts if you were still alive.

She said something else about the hatred of Fez until she dies, which is especially lazy.

One author of Entertainment Weekly also noted that Rue herself said she was an unreliable narrator in the first episode. "There are a few versions of what happened that night. It all depends on who you ask, and to be honest, I'm not always the most reliable narrator, "she said. It makes sense if you tried to save all these events from memory if you had an incomplete memory. However, this almost contradicts the "omniscient", ie … TBD.

Also, EW cited this citation as potential proof:

"Once I was happy, content, and sloshing around in my own private, original pool. Then one day, for reasons beyond my control, I was repeatedly struck down by the cruel cervix of my mother Leslie. I did well, but lost for the first time, but not for the last time.

Losing one last time could mean her dodging into her own death. And finally, in the third episode, three different people said something to Rue, "I will not help you kill you," which could be an important clue.

Some other people on Reddit believe Rue has actually discussed this whole issue with Ali, their potential sponsor, and this diner scene is only the beginning. Definitely a more positive option.
