The Eddy Soundtrack – Every jazz song in every episode

  • The Eddy is now on Netflix.
  • The series includes a real band, The Eddy, who plays original music.
  • Here is every song played in every episode.

The Eddy From executive producer Damien Chazelle ( Whiplash La La Land ) jazz riffs today on Netflix and with original music and a real band.

The series shows a mixture of actors (like Tahar Rahim) who learn to play music and musicians (like the composer Damian Nueva) who have to act as much as they play. The result: Basically eight hours of live jazz music, interrupted by occasional dialogues.

In a Netflix interview, series songwriter Glen Ballard stated that the show "is about redefining what jazz can be".

And the musical director Angela Vicari realizes this mission statement.

The team built on] The Eddy is supposed to serve both as an (aesthetic) jazz club and (acoustically) as a recording studio; They would use the sound that The Eddy Band itself produced for the audio of the club scenes. This explains why the series sounds amazing .

    "It is so important ̵

1; and groundbreaking – for television to bring so many great musicians together and take the trouble to actually record them live," explains Ballard, who also pointed out the diversity of the band.

"It is really the most international band I have ever worked with. We have a bass player from Cuba, a singer from Poland, a drummer from Croatia, a piano player from Los Angeles, a saxophonist from Haiti / Canada, a trumpeter from France. This band has become my favorite band of all time right before my eyes, "says Ballard.
