I have gained 5 pounds recently. It wasn't a muscle.
Like many people, I haven't left the house lately and have let things slip a little.
I still manage to exercise in my back yard In the gym it sometimes rained down on me in my hooded jacket and I felt like Bruce Willis' reluctant superhero in "Unbreakable", but I ate a lot of things from I usually shuffled away with a long stick.
You might suspect that my weight gain is that I do a bit of comfort eating to gloss over the lack of social interaction, but I don't think so. Partly, maybe, but I think it's more like I have an unemployed exotic dancer attitude: what good is there to worry about a little squeak when there's no one who admires my body parts?
But it's time for that to change; To get back on track, so to speak, and the easiest way to do that is my "I can't believe it's a diet" diet that I've been using for years when I need to. [1
Almost all diets work for one reason.
I'm often freaked out about the complexity of a diet. Jour was anointed by celebrities and then passed on to us citizens, but no matter how stupid, they probably all work to different degrees.
Indeed, here is TC's Rule 162: Every time you start paying attention to the food you eat, thanks to any diet you have abandoned, you will lose weight regardless how simple, complex or crazy the diet is.
It all comes down to calories. Sure, insulin sensitivity, purported ketosis, meal timing, and macronutrient makeup all play a role, but calorie rule and everything else is drooling.
By eliminating certain foods or even food groups as prescribed by a particular diet, you can & # 39; t help but reduce calories. Likewise, a diet forces you to pay more attention to what you eat. Leisure food and unconscious nibbling and snacking fall by the wayside if you become calorie-conscious.
Regarding the details of a diet, you should only consider the following:
- Measurable fat loss occurs.
- It does not cause you to lose muscle.
- You can keep it up (which means you can keep doing it without cheating or ending everything by putting a steak knife in your eye).
Chris Shugart's Velocity Diet® fulfills all three conditions and is therefore still successful, but my "Cant-Believe-It & # 39; s-a-Diet" diet is even easier. Mine is only for a week instead of a month and to lose 5 pounds of fat instead of 20.
The "Can't believe it's a diet" diet
Here it is, in all of its breathtaking simplicity:
- Breakfast: 2 scoops of Metabolic Drive® Protein and 2 scoops of Superfood (optional ) mixed in 12 to 16 ounces of water.
- Lunch: 2 scoops of Metabolic Drive® Protein and 2 scoops of Superfood (optional) mixed in 12 to 16 ounces of water.
- Dinner: Lasagna with double cheese.
Okay, I'm a little joking at dinner, but I've included the starter to make a point: you can eat whatever you want for dinner on this diet. It doesn't even have to be "reasonable".
It would be nice if your dinner contained a sufficient amount of protein and some vegetables and was not folded in a lard pillow, but even if it were not entirely reasonable, it does not matter; You'll lose enough calories in the last two meals to make sure you're still losing body fat.
Two measuring spoons of Metabolic Drive Protein provide 42 grams of protein and, when mixed with water, are only 220 calories. The superfood adds zero calories.
Compare this to your breakfast of bacon and eggs on toast, which can be between 600 and 900 calories.
Compare this to the average lunch, which can add between 500 and 500 calories, 900 calories, and possibly a lot more.
Admittedly, the consumption of 42 grams of protein for breakfast and lunch is extremely thermogenic and leads to some fat burning, but the effectiveness of the diet is still almost exclusively based on maintaining a calorie deficit for 7 days (or for how long) You want to follow the diet).
Why Metabolic Drive® protein powder?
Metabolic Drive® Protein is a combination of whey and micellar casein. You know everything about the former, but it is the inclusion of the latter that makes Metabolic Drive particularly suitable for this diet.
Micellar casein consists of bubble-like molecules (micelles) that form a bolus in the stomach when consumed. As such, they digest very slowly, making you feel full longer.
Micellar casein is also absolutely the best when it comes to maintaining muscle protein synthesis and preventing the muscle breakdown that you often see on any diet.
Why the superfood (and why is it optional)?
I am a huge fan of polyphenols and plant chemicals and nutrients in general, so I want to eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables with every meal. Unfortunately, eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables adds up to a lot of calories.
This makes the Superfood preparation from Biotest such a good addition to this diet. It contains 18 freeze-dried fruits and vegetables, from wild blueberries to pomegranate and spinach to green tea.
Therefore, its polyphenol content is staggeringly high. Each serving has an antioxidant potential of 10 to 12 average servings of fruits and vegetables.
Now I have listed the inclusion of superfood as optional, so yes, it is not essential for nutrition, provided you are getting a nice addition of fruits and vegetables to your carte blanche dinner.
However, if you don't, or if all of your fruits and vegetables add too many calories, mix one or two scoops of superfood into your Metabolic Drive shake to improve its nutritional value.
What if I'm still hungry?
Soak it up when you're still hungry. After all, it's a damn diet and it's only for 7 days. If you can't handle it, I would go to my insurance company for a spinal transplant.
What else do I need to know?
You don't need to know anything else. That's it. So it says "Can't believe it's a diet". Simply order a Metabolic Drive Protein and Superfood.
Do it now and you will FedExed in just two or three days and you can start losing that squeeze right away.
