After releasing a new trailer for The Rise of Skywalker last weekend at Disney's D23 convention, fans were surprised by the surprising image of "Dark Rey". The once heroic Rey appears at the bottom of the trailer holding a red lightsaber – with two blades – that provokes both indignation and excitement among the fans of the legendary franchise. J.J. Abrams is known for delivering a great misguide in his film publicity campaigns – remember when Finn, not Rey, swung the lightsaber in the original Force Awakens poster (19459003)?
Obviously, the director wants us to challenge it and stir up the anticipation of the grand finale of the decade-long Skywalker saga. But the fans may have already ruined the big surprise about the so-called Dark Rey. The potentially leaked information is based on a small detail that was posted on the Star Wars website and then reworked.
As some Reddit users have stated, StarWars.com has labeled Dark Rey "Vision." Yes. And if you know something about Star Wars, you know that the franchise has a long history of nightmarish visions ̵
The site has now redesigned this part of the blog post, which is now as follows:
… but the new footage, including a moment, in which Rey appears seems to cast a fully inflamed lightsaber, and of course the sight of Rey with a reticulated red blade was downright exciting.
The word vision was replaced by "sight" Disney / Lucasfilm wanted us to believe that Dark Rey a vision was, it's a strange choice to use that word and then change it The blog post used a word that it should not have and it's up to the reader to decide what exactly this is for the reality of Dark Rey in the new one Movie, but for me it seems like Disney really scored it be careful. You heard it here first – Dark Rey is as wrong as Luke Skywalker's right hand.
