Warning: Spoiler for Captain Marvel.
There's a lot to Captain Marvel, of the Cats' chemistry that Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson shared with the Oscar-worthy fringe of Goose the Cat. And like every other movie in the MCU, Captain Marvel is full of delicious easter eggs that connect him to the broader mythology of comic books.
There is nothing Marvel fans love more than to meddle in each of these throwaway moments to gain more prominence – and this week a new theory emerged that was Chris Pratt's Star Lord, Held the Guardians of the Galaxy, could put in this movie.
In a reddit thread dedicated to Captain Marvel Easter eggs, fans speculate that a shooting star, seen by Carol Danvers and Maria Rambeau in a flashback, could be more meaningful, as the movie suggests. Could this shooting star really have been an alien spaceship?
A fan made a connection between the Flashback sequence, which had taken place in the late 1
"Quill was picked up in 1988," she wrote. Stan the Man was auditioning for Mallrats, which was released in 1995. Carol has been missing for 6 years. Math checks that Carol and Monica actually saw the first space journey for our little Star Prince.
Other commentators said that the shooting star might actually have been a Kree ship; Since the date is never clearly stated, Carol and Maria were able to unintentionally observe the arrival of her friend and mentor Wendy Lawson (Annette Bening), who later turned out to be a foreigner.
It is unlikely that this particular flashback scene will be overhauled in the future, as it was more than anything but a tool that helped Carol regain her memories and confirm her humanity and friendship with Mary. But the joy of these films is that even these little details leave a lot of room for interpretation … and, of course, encourage repeated visits.
