One can say with certainty that James Harrison secured his legacy in the NFL: he won two Super Bowls as a linebacker with the Pittsburgh Steelers and is the team's sack leader of all time. And although he has since retired from professional football (actually twice), Harrison is still out here doing the superhuman exploits he has been known for throughout his NFL career.
You may recall that Harrison did quite the impressive track record with the sled boost. In 2017, at the age of 39, he delighted his Instagram followers by loading a sled with 31 plates with a total weight of 1
Three years have passed, but Harrison clearly felt that he had more to give. This week, on the occasion of his 42nd birthday, he teased his followers when asked if they wanted to see him put even more weight on the sled … and then, oh man, he delivered.
In a new post on IGTV, Harrison pushes a sled with 42 plates, one for each of his 42 years, with a total weight of 1,960 pounds, for more than five meters as if it were nothing. Given the average weight of an NFL player of £ 246, this is equivalent to the pressure of eight football professionals.
Alternatively, it corresponds to 12 beer barrels. Or 20 toilets. It is difficult, is the point. You wonder what Harrison might plan for his next birthday.
