People in their forties can lower their mortality rate by 35%



If you're interested in sports in your youth, fitness is still a big part of your life, good for you. However, if you were an indoor child, or if college sportsmanship faltered, there is still time to get longevity benefits from training to get in shape in your forties.

A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association states that individuals who are in fitness at the age of 40 and maintain it until old age reduce their mortality rate by 35 percent – approximately the level of athletes who have trained throughout their lives.
