Notorious boxing legend Mike Tyson recently suggested that his success in the ring may be due to his getting out in combat. No, literally. He apparently get out Hurting people.
On the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan asked Tyson about his hiring when it comes to training for his upcoming comeback bout against boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. In response, Tyson said he struggled with the fact that he “can really hurt someone” – not because he doesn’t want to hurt her, but because it is literally arousing to do.
“It’s a good question,” said Rogan. “It means you’re getting excited.”
“Yeah,” Tyson said simply back. He added, “This is how I would be as a child. Sometimes I get the sparkle. “
Rogan and Tyson seemed to rationalize this enigmatic comment by claiming the response was a product of adrenaline, heightened emotion, and just “Mike Motherfucking Tyson.”
“Saying it makes you orgasm is a strange thing to say …” Rogan said to Tyson. “Nobody will understand that you can get an erection thinking about hurting someone more than you.”
“There must be fear somewhere,” Tyson replied.
“Fear-based? Maybe, “said Rogan.” Maybe not fear based, but maybe accepting the fact that you will go into it with all you have – the chaos of it all. And the ultimate goal is to hurt someone. The ultimate goal is to be extremely successful. The way you can be extremely successful – what you do great – is to destroy people. ”
