Matcha, what is it and is it really good for you?

Meet Matcha!

I love tea as much as I do Total Gym ! I've actually dedicated a corner in my house to my love of tea. I found a whole world of happiness by trying all the different types. I started my research on green tea after losing my father to cancer. I was looking for ways to protect myself from the same fate that so many had died in my family. During my research, I came across all the health benefits of green tea and especially the wonders of Matcha! I was unaware of this amazing healing tea. I found that Matcha was the mother load of green tea. I also like to call it a "Top Shelf Tea". I'm sure you've heard that drinking green tea is generally very healthy, and trust me, I sucked 5 to 7 cups of hot green soaked green tea for my health. Discovering Matcha was HUGE for me. I found that 1

cup of strong matcha equaled 10 cups of regularly brewed green teas! That's just amazing! So every morning I could get a perfect intake of health before I start my day. It's really my secret weapon.

What is Matcha

Matcha comes from a tea plant called Camellia sinensis and is cultivated in Japan. While green tea is in leaf form, matcha is in powder form. Matcha actually consists of 100% green tea leaves that have been ground to a fine powder. Similar to the consistency of protein powders, but light green. It is much more concentrated than regular green tea, so you only need half a teaspoon per cup. Compared to normal green tea, you consume the entire tea leaf while drinking Matcha!

Health Benefits

Matcha has ten times the nutritional value of regular green tea and up to 137 times the number of antioxidants. It's a powerhouse of antioxidants and vitamins! Matcha is particularly high in epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a catechin type that has been shown to have potent anti-cancer properties. Matcha contains more antioxidants than any other superfood! Antioxidants like this help you fight disease, aging and free radicals. It can pick up cell damage. It is rich in chlorophyll, which naturally detoxifies your body and gives it a bright green color. So it's a safe daily cleaner. Matcha is rich in L-Theanine, a rare amino acid that actually promotes a state of relaxation and alertness that supports brain function! It reduces total and "bad" LDL cholesterol levels as well as triglycerides that can prevent heart disease. The caffeine in Matcha is not like coffee. It does not raise blood pressure and does not cause a fast heart rate. It gives you energy without crashing and burning later. It has half of the caffeine as coffee. I can not drink coffee because it makes the jitter really bad. Switching to Matcha was the best decision for me.

Weight Loss & Fitness

Drink Matcha before training to increase fat burning by up to 25%! It will boost your metabolism. Even up to 24% endurance performance. Accelerates the recovery time in athletes. Cleans the body safely. You get a clear concentration and concentration that supports you in your fitness goals. I personally experienced all these great benefits. Matcha really helped me to reset my metabolism and remove impurities from my body.

Made Simple

When I say different kinds of matcha, I should clarify different degrees. I buy the more expensive ceremonial matcha. This is the highest rating because my body demands the best and should be yours too. It is a little sweeter in the taste and very green. You can make traditional matcha tea by adding 1 to 2 teaspoons of matcha powder into your cup, adding hot water and mixing with a bamboo brush. I do not recommend boiling water because you will burn the leaves. However, you've seen on the video that I use a simple matcha whisk to get the same frothy bubbles on the surface. If you love your protein shakes, just put the matcha in your shaker cup and shake it off. I like to keep my morning simple, and the use of Steeped Tea tea makes it easy. I also found that they make naturally spiced Matcha. Which is amazing because I do not use sugar for my matcha. My new favorite is Mojito! You can check it at www.mysteepedteaparty.com/Cassandra.
