43-year-old David Lineberry has been on weight loss for two decades. When entering college, Lineberry was 330 pounds. He managed to lose 100 pounds in the next few years, but after graduation and age, the weight came back. He would lose and then increase and then lose weight again and again. For Lineberry it was a new strategy to drop over 100 pounds, reach 189 and keep it off. He had to change his old dietary habits.
Lineberry's parents were also obese." They did not give the best nutritional advice. The most cooperative genes, "he says. During the first year at school, Lineberry SlimFast used reduced unhealthy foods and lost over 100 pounds. But he struggled to forget about the diet and weighed on weight. In the late twenties he lost more but found the transition difficult. He was on the roller coaster of weight loss.
Last year, Lineberry started again: his father had been a diabetic and went to and from the hospital for seven years, suffering from heart disease and gangrene. The doctors began to cut their toes, Lineberry recalls. "He died at the end of the operating table. "After Lineberry reached the age of 40 and his father's fate was reflected in his age, he knew that this time he had to lose his weight forever.
This time around, Lineberry took a different approach, focusing on making their own food rather than relying on a food system. They said they should not Counting calories and not weighing in. Lineberry started running a food journal and did just that.
"I've found that if you do something positive, like turning off drinking, it gives you more energy to keep going on the diet." , he says. He stopped proclaiming processed food and concentrated his food on vegetables, grilled chicken, and grilled shrimp.
"We are in the long run and need to accept this mentality."
"Diet is synonymous with a temporary thing we do," Lineberry explains, "but we're in the long run and need that mentality "Accepting mentality was the big breakthrough for Lineberry." They probably did not gain all of their weight within a week, so do not expect it to decline in a week. "
Lineberry says substitution If he wanted pizza, he was looking for ways to make the pizza himself – and make it healthy – he celebrated success with occasional cheating meals, but persisted – he had been gaining weight over the years and he knew he would have to spend years letting it go.
For the training Lineberry had to be trained in the gym five days a week – 30 minutes of cardio, 30 minutes of strength – from arm to chest during the week and to the legs.
"Once you get used to it, it feels weird to skip," Lineberry says, "I feel guilty now if I skip a training day. The trick has always been to get used to it. "
The trick for Lineberry was also to mix the exercises so as not to get bored with machines, dumbbells, and even aerobic exercise videos.
In October, Lineberry dropped below 190, its target weight.
Since then, he has followed his routine of eating vegetables and chicken and going to the gym five days a week.
"Losing weight affects every aspect of your life," he says. "Your love life will be better because you are in a better mood and find each other more attractive. You are better off because you are not moody or grumpy, but positive. You work harder because you have more energy. Every day is a better day. "
