The right type of bath has significant benefits for the body and mind, such as rebuilding muscles and taming chaotic thoughts, experts say. To create a luxurious, healing oasis.
Step 1: Right Time
Take your detox bath at bedtime. "Your body regenerates intensively while you sleep," says Michelle Rogers, a natural health practitioner in Portland, OR. "A detoxifying bath fuels the process by loosening muscles, increasing blood flow and raising body temperature, which helps the immune system fight insects." In addition, warm water can help you drift off later.

Epsom salts in the water relieve muscle aches. Be sure to dilute your essential oil to avoid skin irritation. Rogers recommends mixing five drops of essential oil with one ounce of coconut oil before adding it to the water. Let the water soak for about 20 minutes, step out of the tub and drink 16 to 24 ounces of liquid with electrolytes like coconut water one Pinch salt to rehydrate, says Rogers.
