It seems he can use virtually any lifting technique and create his own amp-up version, and his latest series of posts does just that with pyramid training.
Pyramid training is a fairly common method for changing sentences and repetitions during a workout. Rather than just making sets with a single weight and a number of repetitions, a lifter using the pyramid method would change the weight and number of repetitions with each set, either becoming heavier and doing fewer repetitions or with a lower weight and higher repetitions. Wheels opted for both (a triangle pyramid) and brought it back 90 pounds with each repetition.
