Saturday, March 2 will be a blessed day for those who love affordable, sought-after sneakers, as the collaboration between Nike and J.Crew at Killshot 2 returns to the stores in a whole new way.
J.Crew announced the re-release on Instagram Friday with a carousel of images showing the sneaker with a dark red swoosh and a heel cup. Previously, the Killshot 2 – a sneaker that J.Crew can barely stock due to high demand – was available in a white and navy blue colorway and rubber sole. This version retains the rubber sole, but changes tone, not just with the color, but with a nylon mesh upper unlike the previous version's leather.
J.Crew said in his Instagram post that the sneaker will be available on Saturday, March 2, probably $ 110 – The StockX resale site, however, has a pair for sale for $ 225. That's the kind of demand it has already sparked.
You may remember, it was last year when J.Crew re-released the OG colorway on Killshot 2, and that did not last long. J.Crew even sold tickets to select stores where the sneaker would be available, as they each contained only 50 pairs. If the story is to repeat, a broader version should be available on the J.Crew website next week.
Why do you thirst for these seemingly simple sneakers? That's exactly the reason. The Killshot 2 is a classic silhouette that almost anyone can connect to. The new red color opens this even more. If you have a pair of each, you can somehow escape without any other causal weekend sneakers (but you know as well as I do that a sneakerhead whose salt is worth having more than two options in his closet).
All We know right now that Killshot 2 will return to triumph on Saturday. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
