- Justin Bieber reported on Instagram extensively on drug addiction, past relationships and current attitudes.
- He also discussed the difficulty and pressure of growing up as a child star. Celebrities, including Scooter Brown, Khloe Kardashian and others, praised him for his publication in his comment section.
It's been almost four years since Justin Bieber released a new album, but the 25-year-old singer is still on the news. After marrying Hailey Baldwin earlier this year, Bieber now addresses his past indiscretions ̵
In an Instagram post on Monday, Bieber shared a screenshot of a long personal message he typed into the Notes app. "I hope you find time to read this, it's heartfelt," he wrote in the headline. His note dealt extensively with a range of topics, including the use of "fairly serious drugs" from age 19 and a series of bad decisions that made him "angry, disrespectful of women and angry".
The message begins with Bieber describing the difficulty of getting out of bed in the morning when recalling his difficult past:
It's hard to get out of bed in the morning with the right attitude when you are overwhelmed with your life. Occupation, responsibility, emotions, your family, finances, your relationships. If it feels like there is trouble for annoyance. They foresee the day through the lenses of "fear" and expect another bad day. A cycle of disappointment after disappointment. Sometimes it can even come to a point where you do not want to live anymore. Where you feel, it will never change.
Later, the singer wrote about how child stars often find themselves in murky waters as they get older and have lost their original fame. He spoke of turning from a child in an unstable home with separated parents into one of the most praised people in the world: "I know nothing about you, but humility comes with age," he wrote. "You hear these things as a little boy and actually begin to believe in it." He also discussed the shift in his public perception – how, at the age of 20, I made every bad decision imaginable and transformed myself from one of the most beloved and revered people in the world to the most ridiculous, condemned and hated person in the world!
From there, Bieber wrote about his drug abuse and his unhealthy relationships – but at some point he found that he had rebounded, repaired his broken relationships, and changed his bad habits.
In his own words:
I started taking quite heavy drugs and abusing all my relationships at 19. I became angry, disrespectful to women and angry, I moved away from all those who loved me, and I hid behind them, a person's shell, I felt like I could never turn around, it took me years to recover from all those terrible decisions, to repair broken relationships and to change relationship habits. "God blessed me fortunately with extraordinary people who Love me for myself Now I navigate the best season of my life "MARRIAGE" !! Which one is first a crazy crazy new responsibility. You learn patience, trust, dedication, kindness, humility and all it takes to be a good man.
Bieber's longtime manager Scooter Braun and Khloe Kardashian were among those who praised the singer for his enlightening post. Of particular note is a commentary that could refer to Bieber's childhood star plague: Kyle Massey, the most famous actor for paying Raven Symone's brother in Disney Channels That's So Raven .
"That's so powerful," Massey wrote. "I've experienced ups and downs in my life when I was a 'celebrity,' and the Kid Star's perspective is ignored by most people and the media."
