West will be on another level mimicking the bodybuilder career schedule in Arnold Schwarzenegger. He starts his day at 5 a.m. with a meditation session like Schwarzenegger does before going into the kitchen to prepare Meal 1

. He prepares four eggs, 1/4 cup of oats, honey, and two pieces of bacon.

Next, he goes to the gym for a high volume back and chest workout inspired by Schwarzenegger’s famous bodybuilding program. He starts with 5 sets of 8-10 reps of bench presses at 245 pounds in a superset of 5 sets of wide-grip pull-ups to failure.

“I’m not going to lie, that was actually a lot more difficult than I thought,” says West. “I have a crazy breast pump and a back pump.”

The rest of the Superset workout includes:

5 sets of 10 reps incline the barbell press
5 sets of 10 reps T-rows (replaced with bent rows of dumbbells)
5 sets of 10 reps sitting rows of cables
5 sets of 10 repetitions of dumbbell flies
5 sets of 10 repetitions of tricep dips
5 sets of 10 repetitions of Reverse Grip Lat Pulldown
5 sets of 10 repetitions of dumbbell sweaters
5 sets of 10 reps of cable flies

“It absolutely kicks my ass,” West says before the last superset.

After the workout, West quickly has his post-workout meal 2, which is just protein powder and water. But meal 3 comes right after that. It boils 10 ounces. of grilled fish, a cup of vegetables, a large salad and two sweet potatoes.

Taking the opportunity to run in Arnold’s shoes, West makes his way to Venice Beach to visit legendary Muscle Beach, where Schwarzenegger was famous in the 1970s, as well as the legendary Gold’s Gym, where Schwarzenegger in trained (and still is known to drop in occasionally) in its golden days.

He goes home to conjure Meal 6, which is really just a container of cottage cheese and mixed nuts.

He puts together his macros for the day, which result: 277 g protein, 222 g carbohydrates and 114 g fat. “Arnold is on a high-protein, high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet,” West says. “It’s interesting that a lot of celebrities and people who are pushing themselves to higher levels are getting rid of some carbohydrates.”
