– Challenge where she spent 10 days without sugar and carbohydrates. The challenge was announced in a video released on her Instagram friend Alex Rodriguez. Both challenged their fans to do the same and label more people for ten days without carbohydrates or sugar. Sounds crazy, right?

. This challenge inspired some of their fans to get by for 10 days without sugar and carbohydrates. J. Lo went even further by challenging host Hoda Kotb Today Show along with other celebrities to complete the challenge. Kotb also asked roommate Carson Daly to go without the sweet stuff for ten days.

After Lopez had finished the challenge, she said she was still "Jenny from the block" with a related junk food party with A-Rod. Now, J. Lo The Rock is ashamed of her epic cheater, which she recorded live in her Instagrm story.

Kotb also eradicated herself after the end of her challenge and posted a video from Instagram, in which she goes for a few chips and Guac during the Super Bowl. She totally deserves it!

J. Lo and A-Rod seem excited to have completed the challenge. Lopez said she might be in lap two earlier than later and said, "Maybe we'll stop for a few days and then get back on track."

What are the actual health benefits and potential risks of sugar and carbohydrates being cut out in this intermittent manner? Nutritionist Keri Gans talked to Livestrong.com about this 10-day challenge and warned potential imitators of the dangers of cutting sugar and carbohydrates. He explained that there is a huge difference between sugar and sugar sugar. Therefore, it is a wise step to eliminate foods with added sugar, while sugar is to be avoided altogether. "Fruit, for example, has naturally occurring sugars and is full of vitamins and minerals," Gans said. He added that added-sugar foods are often just empty calories.

Goose stated that it is unrealistic to cut carbohydrates. They are complete. Foods as basic as a portion of vegetables contain about three grams of carbs, which is not bad. "Our most important fuel is glucose, and that comes from the breakdown of carbohydrates," she explained. "I would not advise anyone to eliminate carbohydrates from the diet, it's just a matter of choosing healthier carbohydrates."

J. Lo admitted that she had documented in her Instagram stories the biggest challenge she'd felt hungrier than ever before in the early stages of the challenge: Lopez and Rodriguez are two of the fittest people in the world, so if they have trouble getting close claim how would the rest of us do it? Goose surmises that it's not a good challenge to cut out just added sugar, to keep complex carbohydrates and natural sugars in your diet, because without them you might feel "sluggish, irritable, tired, maybe constipated and bloated … and maybe even evil!"

So Jennifer Lopez's body may look incredible at the end of 10 days, but how much of it is just that she's J. Lo's and has access to famous coaches and nutritionists? We will focus on trying for another 10 days (without carbohydrates, no sugar) cold turkey.
