I've been mine most of the time Sporting Life: I've been playing baseball since I was five years old, and I used to play football and baseball in high school, but I stopped training at grad school – I attended both law school and business school at the same time, and I left 8:00 am to 6:00 pm in the classroom, and then I did homework at night.I spent the time meeting up with friends instead of exercising or doing something, and I was so busy with school that I did not have time to Cooking had – I just got fast food because it was easy.

The weight crept slowly.

I notice my clothes fit tight – especially suits that I often had to wear Whenever I looked in the mirror, I always said that it was insignificant or that it was not a big deal. It was so easy to ignore because I was so busy. I just said, "Oh yes, there are a few pounds more. I burn it off if I do not have lessons. "

Now I could not run to the first base.

In 2016, I graduated from law school and slowed down. I realized that things really differed from a health point of view. I was the guy who liked going out and being active, but now I was the guy who could not handle anything. I had really severe back and knee pain, and I would just go up the stairs. When I played baseball again, I could barely walk to the first base. Then it was clicked that things were not where they should be.

I realized that I had to do things differently.

When I turned 30 in January 2017, I took a diet book saying, "Take things slowly, do not try to do it all at once." That really touched me. As an athlete, I always wanted to be at the highest level of my abilities, but if you weigh more than ever – I was 220 – you can not. I realized that I just had to go outside every day or do something to help me get in shape.

As soon as I noticed that I was making progress, I was motivated to do a complete routine: I started running twice and resistance bands and dumbbells three times a week. First, it took me 10 minutes to walk a mile, but a month later I had a mile of 8 minutes. My goal was to run a bit farther and faster each day so that in mid-February I covered 2.25 miles in one go. I've set myself the goal of running a 5km run and then a half marathon, which I did on Thanksgiving [of 2017]. I also started combining weight training and cardio – I went to the University of Florida football stadium, went upstairs and did pushups on the bleachers. Alcohol and sweets came first.

I used to eat terribly, but I slowly started removing just one bad object I used to go on a diet but I took all the bad stuff with me and my body was going to crave it, so it would not be long, this time I started very slowly, I removed almost all the alcohol and the Sweets from my diet, and when my body was done with that, I tried to cut carbohydrates, etc.

Now my typical diet is pretty much the same every day: I usually have two eggs, some form of lean protein like turkey or chicken and half a cup of fruit for breakfast, for lunch I have chicken or turkey and then about half a cup of vegetables, for dinner I have fish h or chicken, half a cup of vegetables and some quinoa. And my staple that healed my sweet tooth is peanut butter. I eat a tablespoon of peanut butter – that's a great asset to me.

It's more than just "losing weight".

When I woke up earlier at 8:00 am because of my work, I was exhausted at 1:00 pm and ready to call it one day. After training, I feel so much better. When I wake up at 5 or 6, I have energy all day and work later.

It started out as a weight loss goal, and then I realized that there are all these other achievements that you make during exercise – whether it's about gaining weight or walking farther or faster than before. I constantly set goals every week. When I reach one, I'll put another.
