The 225-pound bench press is a test of endurance for most athletes preparing for the NFL Combine, regardless of their position. We use a wavy periodization plan – endurance, power and performance areas of cycling with a unique cadence and time that is energized with every workout. We use Keizer racks to build up resistance with air pressure to activate all the smaller stabilizing muscles, and use other tools, such as wood blocks, to maximize the fatigue of a drop set while protecting the shoulder joints.
