Emily Skye will be the first to tell you that perfection is overrated. The Australian fitness fighter honestly said how she "barely recognized" her body after birth – and her frustration with her slow after-baby body progress. And she's always ready to embrace her stretch marks, cellulite and any other so-called flaw society.
In a recent statement in her Instagram stories, the coach learned something completely different: the "gymnastics face". In a series of videos, Skye involuntarily showed she had not made it while performing frontraising and kettlebell kicks. Then she enjoyed questioning her followers to see if she had made "ugly" faces in those recent reruns.
"Who craps what people think," she said. "J You just have to do your thing, and people will always say things, who cares if you make funny faces, because what matters is what you do and you carry on." ( Associated: An open letter to women who feel like they are not in the gym)
Bottom Line: Although sometimes it feels like it's not a runway, it should not be a place to should do its best, but a place where you should be your best. Skye wants you to remember that the next time you worry about your "ugly" fitness face – or what's stopping you from getting your best foot forward.
