Charlee Atkins shares a cardio home workout with no jumping movements

Men's Health / Eric Rosati

We understand: Not everyone is a runner. And since many people are subject to blocking orders, even some consistent pounders do not always feel safe when they are out in the wild alone to collect their weekly miles. So if you try to sweat indoors instead, you've probably turned to routines that include movements that move you in confined spaces and bounce up and down like a pogo stick that does burpees, Squats jumps and other effective exercises.

If you live in an apartment with neighbors or if it is just your family in the side rooms of your house, you are probably driving them crazy with all the knocking on the floor that comes with every jumping representative. Hopefully, you could continue your exercise routine without too much conflict – but if you've limited yourself to slow, calm, non-ballistic movements, there are still ways to increase your heart rate. [19659005] Trainer Charlee Atkins, CSCS feels everywhere for the plight of house and apartment practitioners (and their neighbors and relatives). She designed a simple cardio sequence with four moves and no jump, which you can string together as a HIIT series or combine into individual movements if you need to sweat indoors without shaking the floor.

You put on clothes You don't need any additional equipment for these exercises. You may even want to take off your shoes to keep indoor noise as low as possible. Just make sure you have a firm grip on the floor or mat under your feet.
