In the undoubtedly eagerly awaited women's game in WWE history, Becky Lynch endeavored to challenge "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey on the biggest stage of the RAW Women's Championship of . WrestleMania 35 on April 7th. For Lynch it was her shot to wrestle immortality, but the McMahons had other ideas: she handed her a [60-Tage-Sperre] on RAW and inexplicably gave her the title title match with Charlotte Flair.
But Becky's WrestleMania is far from over. This last setback is just another obstacle for our favorite underdog to walk through, and anyone who knows Becky knows she overcame the opportunities of her entire career.
Becky's recent popularity explosion aroused many critics -guard, but the truth is that it takes countless years to become successful in pro wrestling overnight. I have a personal connection to the hardcore training that Becky has experienced as a rising wrestler since I graduated from NWA UK Hammerlock in 2001
In conversations I've had with Becky over the years, we think about working as an independent wrestler. She paid her dues by loading wrestling rings into vans after shows, and then slept on the ring ropes for a few hours in the same van as he drove from city to city. She participated in the smallest shows in run-down wrestling matches, and she has been the focus of attention in stadiums across Japan, the United Kingdom and here in the United States. For Lynch she can find a home in every ring, but the dream is always the same: having the opportunity to showcase her talent on the biggest stage of all.
Even after coming to the main WWE squad in 2015, Lynch had more than her fair share of heartrending booking decisions. In the last year WrestleMania she was banished to the Frauenschlachtroyal, followed by another blow: In the same week she worked on the SmackDown an unresolved match, a sure sign for it The status of the main event did not come anymore in the grip.
Things changed in the past year, however. Becky's character burned on WWE TV, and since shooting down last year's SmackDown last year, she has skyrocketed, and has been the company's biggest superstar ever since Daniel Bryan ,
Just when her popularity was at its peak, an altercation with Nia Jax broke her out with a concussion and a broken nose, forcing her to miss her match against Ronda Rousey Survivor Series . Undisturbed, she came to action the next day, though doctors said she was unable to wrestle. She would never have expected anything more than to be a tough battle on the road to WrestleMania but there is no other wrestler, doctor or McMahon who could stand in her way.
The seemingly overnight recognition of her abilities has taken more than half of her life, and her victory at Royal Rumble paved the way for herself to finally prove at the expense of the former UFC Champ. just be pulled under your feet for the rug. But for Becky, this is a familiar terrain – she had to fight for any opportunity she was ever given.
The heart, the fire and the skill Lynch possesses have finally blossomed and she will find a way no matter how difficult it is to be part of the RAW Women's Championship game. Whether she's beating her suspension and joining Rousey and Charlotte in a triple-threat match, or whether external influences are just leaving their marks, make no mistake: Becky Lynch will have her WrestleMania moment.
