Avocados are the most versatile food. Seriously, call another ingredient that can be processed into pizza, ice cream and beer. (Not to mention their effects on footwear.) And the spin-offs do not stop there – the fruits can also be turned into chips.
Yes, a company called AvoLov sells the crunchy avocado snack you've been missing.
AvoLov avocado chips come in three flavors: pink Himalayan sea salt, chilli and lime, and Sriracha. While you've probably found potato chips already made with avocado oil, these are different: they're made from dehydrated avocado and tapioca flour, which makes them on the fluffier side (for chips). According to AvoLov's website, they are also gluten-free, grain-free, sugar-free, keto-friendly, paleo-friendly and vegan. And for $ 4.99 per bag, they may even be cheaper than buying an avocado. If you prefer to skip the flavors, AvoLov also sells straight dried avocados in bulk. The company also makes avocado powder, made from dried avocado and some lemon powder. It is meant to be added to smoothies or rehydrated to get an instant toast or guac. Correct: There is nothing like it, but if you've ever torn your heart out of a over or under ripe avocado, you'll appreciate the concept of a shelf-stable version. (Frozen avocado slices may also be useful.)
AvoLov chips are well-suited to replacing traditional potato chips when they get their first ingredient. Avocados are nutritional power plants that are loaded with fiber, potassium, vitamin E and, of course, simply saturated fats.
