It has been more than 30 years since Arnold Schwarzenegger and his paramilitary team first went to the jungle and played a deadly cat and mouse game with an alien hunter in 1987. Predator . He finally returns to this fictional universe and plays the role of Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer in a new video game based on the popular science fiction action franchise.
A new DLC for the Predator: Hunting Grounds game on PS4 covers part of the time that has passed since Holland's first encounter with the Predator in the jungle, with Schwarzenegger's character's voice in a row of tapes that tell his experiences. "These tapes are my personal certificate, my insurance," he says at the beginning. "If something happens to me, what I found will not be lost."

Dutch is just one of several icon roles that Schwarzenegger produced in the 1980s and with which he would stay connected for the rest of his career. One of his earliest big breaks was playing Conan the Barbarian, a character he has often expressed interest in revisiting since. And then of course there is the T-800 in the films Terminator which Schwarzenegger played in several episodes, most recently in 2019 Dark Fate .
