7 yoga poses you can do with a chair

Is your busy work schedule responsible for not getting enough exercise? But that should not stop you from trying out those yoga exercises that can easily be performed sitting on a chair.

    Yoga at your desk

    Most of us are busy at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Desk Jobs. Sitting in one place for hours means no physical activity. Such a lifestyle can lead to serious health problems such as back pain and repeated stress injuries. So you can stay healthy at work even if you are sitting for most of the day.

    Eagle arms

    Keep your arms parallel to the floor while sitting in a chair. Bring your arms forward and cross your right arm over your left arm so that your palms touch. Keep your spine straight while lifting your elbows. Hold the pose five times before relaxing. Make the movement with your left arm to the right.

    Spinal Rotation

    Sit sideways on your chair. Keep both feet flat on the floor. Turn to the back of the chair while holding the chair with both hands. Hold it two counts before relaxing and repeating with the other side.

    Collar

    Collar is one of the simplest yoga poses. All you have to do is slowly turn your neck, right ear to right shoulder and then head back. Repeat on the other side – left ear to left shoulder. You should not hurry with the rotation of the neck at any time.

    Crease

    Sit on the floor with your spine upright and your feet flat. Slowly bring your head down and slowly rotate your upper back to lower your chest between your legs. Try to plant the palms next to your feet. Hold the pose for two seconds before slowly rolling it up again.

    Katzenkuhstretch

    Place your feet flat on the floor and your hands on your knees. Now inhale and turn your back up to the ceiling. Slowly exhale, rotate the spine and return the body to the starting position.

    Finger stretches

    Place your hands with your palms up to the ceiling. Keep your fingers in your direction and gently squeeze the wrist and forearm. Extend the other arm in the same way. Do it five to ten times on each page.

    Other yoga postures

    There are other yoga postures that you can do at your desk. They are standing pigeons, sit bent forward, sit in the mountain and sit with a chair forward.

    Yoga at work not only helps you get some physical activity but also has many other benefits, such as relieving stress, in order to calm down to control blood pressure and to ward off the back pain risk.
